The receptionist was really nice, and we were able to check out at 3pm for a small fee. Breakfast is free every morning, and the hotel is within walking distance of the boulevard and many establishments. I liked the simple room, especially Room 610 on the 6th floor, which has a very nice ocean view. I'll definitely visit again when I'm back in Dumaguete. Kudos to the team :)

We stayed at C & L Bay View Inn for 5 days. The staff were great, approachable, and friendly. The place was clean, and a decent breakfast was served each morning. It's near the airport and restaurants, and tricycles can find it easily because locals know the street, even if you don't have a private car service. My main suggestion is to improve the water system. It was difficult to get the temperature warm or cold, and the pressure was really weak. Even so, it's a wonderful, budget-friendly place to stay.

For $24 a day, the single room is good for the price. It's close to everything and breakfast is free. Just waiting for DA Bears to come on ESPN.

The location was good, the staff were nice, and I liked the older but quality decor, wardrobe and dresser casework, and fixtures. The shower and water pressure were great. The rooftop bar/restaurant only opened from 7am to 9 am for breakfast, and the food was below standard. Avoid a room on the mountain view side. The burned-out building next door made the aircon draw in a dank, burned, musty, rotten smell. There was no equivalent room on the ocean side, and the manager wanted a 1200p upgrade to move us from our king matrimonial suite to a twin double bed room. I asked for the same price since we'd already put up with the smell day and night, but the manager refused. We checked out a day early and changed hotels. I won't be back.
