Amwani Breeze

We stayed in beach tents, which comfortably fit two people. They’re covered and protect you from heat, rain, and wind, and the prices are very reasonable. The owners and staff were friendly, too. Amwani Beach is a lovely fishing village and a nice escape from El Nido’s crowds. You can see local Filipino life and have cultural experiences. There’s surfing and volleyball on the beach, and the restaurant serves some of the best food in the area. It really feels like a hidden paradise.

Bucana Beach is for people who like a quiet stretch of sand. Don’t expect anything like Nacpan Beach. Amwani Breeze sits near the middle of the beach, away from the crowds of El Nido, and could suit travelers who enjoy going off the beaten path. The huts are basic but charming, with fans. There’s a small restaurant, and the terrace is a relaxing spot with a sea view. A few other beach restaurants nearby give you some choice.

The beach is stunning, and the location is hard to beat. Our room was small but perfectly adequate, with a fan and a table for our things. The food was excellent, and it’s a really nice, chilled place to stay.

The bungalows at Amwani Breeze feel carefully made, and you can sense the love in the layout and the hospitality from the moment you arrive. Jeff and his family own the land and built them from the ground up. Their connection with the place, the community, and their guests is special. They were the heart and soul of our wonderful Easter stay, and I can’t recommend it highly enough for its natural beauty and their generosity. On our last night, Jeff put out food and drinks, brought out the karaoke, and invited everyone staying to join in. We sang, laughed, and shared stories under the stars with people from all walks of life. It became one of the most unforgettable nights of my life. The current booking setup doesn’t reflect the role Jeff and his family play. I hope they regain full control of their space soon and get the credit and support they deserve. They’re the true spirit of this paradise. If you’re lucky enough to visit, go with an open heart. You’ll leave with lasting memories.
