I was furious and disappointed by how Balili Eco Farm & Leisure handled my booking. While I was on my way to Palawan, the hotel texted to say it couldn’t accommodate my reservation. I had booked well in advance and had received no earlier warning, so the last-minute cancellation disrupted my plans and left me feeling disregarded. Then I found that the same room I had booked for £150 was still available for £450 after they cancelled me. It felt like they were putting profit ahead of customer service and taking advantage of travelers. The whole thing was distressing as well as inconvenient. I wouldn’t recommend Balili Eco Farm & Leisure to anyone seeking reliable, trustworthy accommodation in El Nido. Their handling of this was unprofessional and made me feel that guests don’t matter to them.

The hotel cancelled our booking at the last minute, leaving us stranded and upset. It was difficult and expensive to find somewhere else, and the hotel’s poor communication and lack of support made an already stressful situation worse. Avoid if you can.

One thing that really stayed with us was how the farm looks after the animals that turn up there. Instead of sending them away, the staff take in hungry dogs and cats, feed them, and care for them. They were all very friendly, and if animals aren’t your thing, the staff will keep them away. The bamboo cottages are cute and clean, with a comfortable bed and mosquito net, air conditioning, and hot showers. El Nido’s power can go out, but the backup generators meant we weren’t affected. Wi-Fi was available, though spotty around El Nido, and they’re working to improve the internet. The farm is a short ride from Nacpan, and fairly close to duli Beach, Lio Beach, and other places to visit. The staff were wonderful, cooked us a hearty, tasty breakfast, and also offer dinner. Complimentary scooter rental is available too. We loved our stay and highly recommend it.

Really lovely place, with lovely staff and a great breakfast. There were lots of mosquitoes, but that’s pretty expected on a farm. Bring good DEET and you shouldn’t get bitten.

Everyone working there was so friendly, especially Rochelle. They lent us a scooter for free and gave us lots of ideas for things to do. The only downside was the mosquitoes in our room.
