The family who runs the place made everything easy. They helped us with everything, from arranging tours, which we booked through them and recommend, to organizing our transfer to the next destination. They even cooked dinner for us one evening, which gave the stay a homely feel. The location is lovely, with banana trees all around. You do need a scooter to reach the city centre, but it’s a very enjoyable drive. The rooms are basic but have what you need, with room under the beds for bags and a surprisingly comfortable balcony for relaxing. The toilet area was clean and spacious. The shower is cold, though you get used to it quickly. If you’re unsure about booking, I hope this helps. It was 100% worth it for us.

The room and bed were comfy, and it was so easygoing here that I felt at home. This is a lovely spot to leave the busy town behind and enjoy the quiet. I already miss the breakfast pancakes. Scooter rental is available too. Salamat 😊 I’ll come back!

It felt like a cozy home where we could get away and rest, while still being fairly close to the city centre. The host was very warm and kindly arranged to keep our bags while we travelled around El Nido. We had a wonderful stay in this simple but beautifully arranged homestay.

The Kubos are simple, but for me they were just the escape I needed to slow down and think about this adventure that is my life. The Banana Grove felt like a garden of Eden in Villa Libertad, Palawan. Annie has a real passion for running an ethical business. I’d gladly return if I’m back in northern Palawan.

Simple bungalows, but clean and cozy. The place sits among lovely banana trees and other plants, and it feels very safe. It’s about a 15-minute scooter ride from the city centre, which makes it great for relaxing. Breakfast is delicious, with options like oatmeal or yogurt with tropical fruit, or eggs. Ann was really helpful arranging things like scooter hire and a tricycle to the bus station. 10/10!
