BonBob Inn

My girlfriend and I stayed here from Oct 13 to Oct 16, 2023. We used the safe in our room to store our medicines, US cash, and pesos. On our last day we were out all day, and we returned late the next day before our flight. At the airport, while paying for breakfast, we counted our money and found that $500 US dollars and 20,000 pesos were missing. By then, it was too late to do anything because we were already at the airport. Please don't leave valuables in the room safe. I believe the staff stole them. A short tomboy was at the front office most of the time. My girlfriend's colored robe, which she got from her mother in Mexico, was also gone when we unpacked. The staff there are thieves!

This room was worth the price: clean, fresh-smelling, and spacious. Breakfast for two was included for my husband and me, and they also gave our son breakfast for free. We really loved the food and all the staff. Thank you so much! P.S. We cleaned up all the balloons before checking out.

The staff made our stay in El Nido easy, which is why I'm giving Bonbon 5 stars even though it isn't perfect. Traveling on a budget, I'll consider Bonbon Inn and Swiftlets Inn first next time we come to El Nido. Hopefully soon! The stay was convenient from the moment we arrived. They let us check in early at no extra cost and offered complimentary drinks while they got the room ready. Breakfast was free, had four choices, and was satisfying. We could schedule turndown service ahead of time, and booking tours, transfers, and massages through the inn was simple. The prices matched local providers, and we could put charges on the room and pay by bank transfer at checkout. Island hopping through their partner, Leatherback Travel Company, was comfortable and well organized. There was also a public shower on the ground floor for washing sand off before heading back to the room. Our room was clean, spacious for its price range in El Nido, and kept cool and dry by the split-type AC. It could sleep up to four with the sofa bed. The bathroom was clean, with a bidet and a hot tub that we enjoyed using with bath bombs. The cozy, supportive bed was especially welcome after long travel days and island hopping. There's some noise from the highway nearby, but it wasn't too disruptive. I'm from Manila, so I'm used to sleeping through noise. WiFi was decent at around 20 Mbps, SMART and DITO mobile data worked well, and the TV had cable. We used an HDMI cable to watch Netflix. The location beside the highway and the main road into El Nido town made it easy to walk to restaurants, bars, and other attractions. Bonbon Inn's comfortable, clean room, convenient location, and helpful service made our stay enjoyable and stress-free.

The owner offered no solution after an agreement was not honored. The staff were kind, but they wouldn’t admit the mistake or handle it professionally. It ruined our experience, and I left disappointed.
