Charlie's El Nido Managed by HII

We loved relaxing by the pool, and breakfast was tasty and filling. Our room was huge, with a balcony looking over the pool, and the view was beautiful. It was only a few minutes from Lio Beach, in a quiet spot. The massage was bliss, and the staff were so hospitable. Katrina, the manager, the bartenders, and the front office team were all helpful and handled our requests. Highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway!

The staff made us feel looked after the whole time, from the front desk and restaurant to security and transportation. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Charlie’s El Nido also had a full bar, gym, and a lovely pool for unwinding after island tours. We especially enjoyed breakfast, with plenty to choose from: fresh fruit, hot dishes, fluffy pancakes made to order, and a great omelet station. The restaurant was fantastic. Our room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with a roomy modern bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool. Mornings and evenings there were especially relaxing. One thing that could be better is a separate waiting area for guests leaving for flights. The hotel kindly lets them stay while they wait, but when a lot of people are in the main lobby it can affect the first impression for arriving guests, especially since the lobby is so beautiful. Room diffusers or a signature scent could also improve the in-room experience. We had a wonderful stay that exceeded expectations and would absolutely come back. Highly recommended for El Nido.

Charlie’s is a good value compared with similar places nearby, considering the accommodations, service, and location. It’s only minutes from Lio beach, with easy access while still feeling relaxed and away from crowds. The food was good at breakfast and in the main dining options. Service was warm, responsive, and proactive, with personal attention to the guest experience from check-in through departure.

The staff were kind, attentive, and worked incredibly hard. They made our four nights at Charlie’s special, and we loved the food and drinks, especially the pineapple mint crush, which became my favourite. The complimentary shuttle to El Nido town, about a 13-minute drive, and to Lio Beach and the airport, both under five minutes away, was so convenient. Laundry cost extra but was quick and efficient. Our room was bright, spacious, and comfortable. The pool was lovely, though a few more sun loungers would be nice. We’re sad to leave beautiful El Nido and would absolutely return.
