El Nido Coco Resort

The stay was very good overall. Breakfast was good, and our room was spacious with working hot and cold water in the shower. We could hear rats running in the ceiling at times, though, which was noisy and distracting. They also put on parties and introduce guests to Filipino culture by inviting dance troupes to perform folk dances. That was a nice touch. We tried the spa too, and it was good.

We really loved our little cottage at Coco Resort, and leaving this peaceful, beautiful place was hard. After long, hot days touring the islands, the pool was perfect. The food was great, and everyone working there was extremely kind and helpful. I also liked the quieter location at Corong Corong Beach, with several good restaurants still nearby. If it’s within your budget, I’d book the Deluxe Villas. You won’t be disappointed. I’d return in a heartbeat.

The food was so good, and the beach view was gorgeous. Our room matched what we saw online, with a cozy feel, all the essentials, and a spacious, spotless bathroom. The fresh, clean sheets were a big deal for me because my skin is prone to contact dermatitis. The staff were lovely to deal with, quick to respond, and genuinely accommodating. We had a great stay and felt it was worth every penny.

The grounds were lovely, and we were near plenty of restaurants. We also really liked the massages, and the food and drinks were good, though both took a long time to arrive. We stayed in early January, so maybe the season played a part, but the visit felt disappointing for what we paid. Our room was short on basics: there were three of us but only two towels, with no hand towels or larger spares. The sliding doors wouldn't shut fully, so mosquitoes got in. There was no hand soap, and we were told to use the body wash from the shower. WiFi was hard to connect to, and nobody gave us the access details at check-in. The staff were friendly, but didn't seem especially helpful or proactive when we raised issues. The person who checked us in had seen there were three guests, yet seemed surprised when we came back to ask for enough towels.
