The stairs didn't bother me, but the rooms were disgustingly dirty and the showers badly outdated. There was mold, cracked walls, stains, slippery tiles, and shower heads that barely worked. Painting the showers and toilets in bright colors doesn't make them look fresh. I don't recommend staying there.

Forest Camp has a good view from the top, but the toilet and bathroom weren't good. There was no hot water and lots of insects. 🐝

It was a lovely break from town, with a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful views, especially at sunset from up the hill. The bungalows had fans, mosquito nets, and power outlets. We hardly needed the nets, since we saw just one mosquito over two days. The mattresses were comfortable, the staff were friendly and made a nice breakfast, and the basic bathrooms had what we needed and were cleaned regularly.

The staff and the family who run the place were really lovely, and it was a well-priced, different kind of stay just outside El Nido. Just be ready for lots of climbing up and down. The bathrooms are very basic and dimly lit.

The view is amazing, and it was a nice place, but lots of small things need attention. The shower handles were broken, and sometimes we got stuck in the shower and had trouble getting out. Our cottage key made no sense either: we locked the doors, but they could still be opened without a key. It was funny. We expected them to arrange transport to the port. There was a vehicle nearby, but apparently 7am was too early and they wanted to sleep. It wasn't 3am. We ended up walking to the city center and arranging transport ourselves. That wasn't a problem, but a lot of the little things could be improved with some maintenance.
