Golden Monkey Cottages

The staff were lovely and helpful throughout, and even worked hard to resolve a laundry issue to our satisfaction. The hotel is a bit of a trek from El Nido's main hub, though there's a free shuttle. We had a queen room with a sea view, which I definitely recommend if it's available. It was spacious, with a balcony and a great view. Breakfast was very good too, and came with another great view.

Room 8 was clean and fine overall, but the sound carried a lot. We could hear people walking and talking outside, as well as staff cleaning and getting ready in the morning. The curtains weren't blackout either, so daylight came in early. Still, we had a pleasant stay. The location is ideal if you want to get away from town, and the accommodating staff and restaurant view were highlights. The complimentary breakfast was really worth it. It's a good choice if you value the location and views, though a few changes to the room setup would improve the experience. Thank you!

The rooms had everything we needed, and the staff were kind and helpful. We enjoyed having breakfast right by the sea, with a great view. The town center and El Nido tours are about a 15-20 minute walk away, or a 10-minute tricycle ride. We had a very pleasant stay and definitely recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our stay in rooms 2 and 3, both clean and serviced every day. They had air conditioning and a fan, plus beautiful ocean views. The area was peaceful, about a 10-15 minute walk from the busy town. Staff were friendly and helpful, the food was tasty, with Filipino and European choices, and although the bathroom was small, the shower was great.
