Coco Pod Siargao Hostel

I liked the relaxed vibe here. The place is good, and Cloud 9 is only about a 10-minute walk away. It’s quite far from the market and other shops, though, so renting a car or motorcycle would make things easier. They also have an affordable island-hopping package for Daku, Naked, and Guyam Island.

The location is decent, and the beds are clean. The air conditioning is good too, when the power is on. Outages happen often, though, and the water smells like sewage. If you’re planning to visit the pod soon, expect construction workers to fire up their chainsaw around 6am, with some Justin Bieber playing at full volume.

Coco Pod was my first time staying in a hostel, and I had a good experience. It opened me up to trying something new, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Siargao. The staff were great and accommodating. Bushra, the hostel host, made me feel at home. I felt I got my money’s worth.

The water smells really bad, and there’s a lot of construction around. The rooms and toilets were clean, though, and the AC is very strong. It’s a decent place to stay outside the center, and you can rent a scooter to get around.
