INARA Siargao

The secluded setting gave us a relaxing, romantic getaway, away from the busy General Luna area and hostel feel. The hospitality was amazing. Jom, Zymore, Ivy, Ian and the rest of the staff were accommodating, checked in often, and made sure we had what we needed. Just ask if you need laundry, massages, or anything else. They can set up meals or massages wherever you like on the property. I’d definitely return with family and friends.

The ocean view is beautiful, especially over breakfast, and the whole place is peaceful and lovingly maintained. We felt at home by the sea as soon as we arrived, thanks to a team that took care of every detail. Service was attentive and kind without ever feeling intrusive. The food was delicious, and the massages were fantastic for unwinding. Inara is hard to leave and even harder to forget. We can’t recommend it enough!

The setting is beautiful, the rooms are tastefully designed, and the staff are genuinely kind and helpful. Still, Inara was our most expensive stay and the only disappointing one during our eight nights in Siargao, where we also researched four properties for our travel blog: Las Palmas, Kalani Villas, Kalinaw Resort, and Inara. Management was the problem. Nobody helped with parking or bags. We were told to expect a WhatsApp message in the evening to choose breakfast, but a staff member came to take our order within ten minutes of checking in around 3 p.m. Breakfast was included but full of confusing limits: one juice or coffee, no fruit, a 380 PHP croissant covered but not the 420 PHP beef tapa. For a room over $300 USD a night, that felt arbitrary and cheap. There was no coffee in the room, only paid coffee in a shared area. Poolside wine was out of the question when a bottle that retails for 590 PHP was priced at 8,000 PHP. The same wine was 1,200 PHP at another resort. We skipped it and tried the beach bar, but a private event meant we were awkwardly seated at the back of a building, with no view, fan, or atmosphere. The calamansi margarita and Blue Daku tasted nothing like their descriptions, and the cocktails were among the worst and most expensive we had on the trip. I asked to speak with the manager the next morning. He thanked me for the feedback but didn’t acknowledge the problems, apologize, or try to improve our stay. Inara has a lot of potential, but as it’s managed now, it’s frustrating and poor value. Until significant changes are made, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Inara’s beachfront setting is stunning, and the place feels rooted in Siargao’s nature. We celebrated my father’s birthday here and couldn’t have been happier with the choice. The service was outstanding, making it a lovely place to stay and celebrate a special occasion.
