Siargao Inn Beach Resort

The beach was lovely and the pool was great for cooling off. From the loungers and swings you can see the white caps on Siargao reef stretching for miles. The water is shallow, so you can walk a long way out. I might have tried to reach the reef if I’d had more time. I snorkeled, but saw nothing even in the seagrass. We stayed three nights and really enjoyed it. Our double bedroom for four was cleaned daily, and everything worked. The AC was good, the shower was good, and we appreciated having a safe. There was no TV, but that didn’t bother us. It was toward the end of the season, so the restaurant only served breakfast and drinks, which was fine for us. Tricycles were frequent and made it easy to get to Cloud 9 or town. Despite some other reviews, we always found someone at reception when we needed help. We’d stay here again when we return to Siargao. Very relaxing and natural.

The room service wasn’t done during our stay, and we didn’t get fresh towels. They also didn’t provide enough tissue paper. Staff seemed to be slacking, sitting around with their legs up like they were at home, and the space needs some refurbishing. There was flooding too. Staff made a mistake with a collection booked for a different date and blamed us. The service was only minimal. Without improvement, I honestly wouldn’t return or recommend it to friends.

We came back to Siargao for our second visit and felt lucky to return to this quiet beach resort. The garden was neat and breezy, and the beach had two swings and a lounge bed. Its white sand seemed nicer than at other General Luna beach resorts, and you can swim at high tide. The pool was refreshing after spending a long time at the beach, and the place is great for sunrise and sunset photos. I travelled with my family of four and my husband, so we booked two rooms, including a beachfront room. It was spacious, with a large comfortable bed and a relaxing lounge bed on the balcony. I was fine with there being no TV, but I missed having a refrigerator for soda, water, and fruit snacks. The staff were nice, but assistance didn’t feel very personal, and asking for service sometimes felt like asking a big favor. Also, check the price if you book a shared airport ride through reception. It seemed higher than what other passengers on the same ride were charged. Still, this is a nice resort for a big family looking for a relaxing time in paradise.

Unfortunately, health reasons forced me to cut my trip short. I tried to cancel my booking two days ahead, but the hotel didn’t reply to my cancellation request or my separate email. The service was the worst. I wouldn’t book here without a cancellation option.
