Tahanan Homestay

It was quiet here, but still easy to get everywhere. Rod and his Crew were so welcoming and helped us from the start with everything we needed, including a scooter, tours, and a Sim Card. They were always ready to lend a hand. I really liked the low-cost self-service in the kitchen, where you could get waterbottles, Coffee, and other Things, plus use the water dispenser. I’m grateful for their help and the lovely time we had at Tahanan Homestay.

I was excited about staying at Tahanan Homestay after seeing so many positive Google and Airbnb reviews. Then Cebu Pacific cancelled my flight to Siargao about 3 hrs after we were already seated on the plane. I asked Tahanan for a refund because of this unexpected situation, but they said refunds were only available if you cancelled seven days before the booking. I explained what happened, but they wouldn’t offer any concession. How could I have known my flight would be cancelled? Very disappointing. :) I’m sharing this to warn future travellers, especially since flights to Siargao get cancelled so often.

Everyone at Tahanan was so accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. It was one of my favorite parts of the Siargao trip, and we really enjoyed our stay 🥰 The location worked well, away from the busy night town but still close enough to food spots. 10/10, we’ll definitely book here again when we come back :)

The people at Tahanan were kind and accommodating, and Rod was a fantastic host. He went out of his way to arrange our tours and connect us with people for island and land tours. The rooms and bathroom were clean. Amenities included a decent pool, water dispenser, and mini mart. I’d give cleanliness, people, amenities, and miscellaneous services all 5 out of 5. One of the best places I’ve stayed!
