The staff are still good people, but the building and public areas have become less well kept, with some wear and tear and cleanliness issues. I’ve stayed here twice, nearly two years apart, and it’s gone downhill since my first visit. It used to feel very clean, organized, and almost upscale. Now it’s clearly a budget hotel, with no uniforms and no porter service. It’s not bad for the price, just not what it used to be.

There are rats and large flying cockroaches, and the water pressure is weak, especially in the morning. Getting here means taking a bumpy road that doesn’t seem to have been made properly, and apparently people don’t want to come in because of it. At night the way in is also very dark and creepy.

The food service was really poor. We were told our food would be brought to the room at 8, but it was already 8:15 when I asked reception about it, and only then did they start preparing it. We waited over 10 minutes for a spoon and had to eat with forks while the receptionist said they’d bring it with the coffee and water. We finished before either arrived. I had to ask reception again, and then they made the coffee. I won’t recommend this place to our fellow Ilonggo. 😒😒😒

We booked Deluxe Matrimonial, Room C, through Agoda for P522. The room is wide, air conditioned, and has free WIFI and a smoke detector. It’s open 24 hours, and there’s a hot and cold shower. The electric fan didn’t work, the mattress was very thin, the bowl flush was broken, and the faucet water pressure was weak.

The bed, room, and aircon were all good. It’s just behind Wyndham Hotel and about a five-minute walk from the national road. The affordable rate makes it a decent option for backpackers. We got the room through Agoda for 500 pesos.
