The attendants were kind and helpful, and even showed us the available rooms before check-in. There’s parking inside the compound for more private and discreet parking, as well as spaces by the hotel entrance. The Matrimonial Queen Room we looked at was really dated, though. The foam had started sagging and the room smelled. I understand upkeep costs money, and the rates have stayed affordable. Hot showers were a nice extra.

Leaving your key at the front desk whenever you go out is the policy I liked least. Otherwise, it’s good value for the price. The front desk responds quickly to requests, the rooms are clean and have hot and cold showers, and breakfast is included, served on a plate. The place feels secure, has plenty of parking, and is close to City Oval and Malls.

The room was spotless and the bathroom looked modern, so it seemed promising at first. But there’s nowhere to put your belongings, either in the room or bathroom, and you have to sit or lie on the bed to watch TV. The two pillows are kid-sized and too soft to prop yourself up with, and I slept badly on them. Staff were friendly enough, but only handed over the key and didn’t offer much help. The room has good potential.

For 750 pesos, the solo room is affordable and comes with breakfast. It’s a decent option if you’re traveling alone, with a school, malls, restaurants, oval plaza, and 7 11 nearby. The bathroom’s little window has no curtain, so I had to check outside before showering. Though it’s a non-smoking place, there were lots of cigarette butts outside my room’s window, and the air-conditioning leaked outside the room. You’d have to be not too fussy to stay here.

The restaurant here was a plus for me. It’s a good, affordable hotel option in the city, with relatively new rooms, reliably clean spaces, and good service. Works well for budget and business travelers.
