We booked six days and checked in during July. From the start, there were problems. My husband went to the front desk three times in our first hour: there was blood on the pillow, hair on the bed and across the floors, and the shower didn't work. Exhausted after 18 hours of travel, we asked to move rooms. I was also pregnant, so the exhaustion was a lot to handle. The replacement room had the same cleanliness problems, a filthy shower, and water that kept switching between hot and cold. We stayed the first night because we were exhausted, then asked to cancel and refund the rest of our stay. The rooms were in very poor condition, and I started getting a cold from the shower temperature changing constantly. Basic hygiene wasn't met, especially with blood on the pillow and other people's hair in a supposedly clean room. We've emailed Agoda multiple times and used its online chat. They keep saying we have to deal with the property because the room was in poor condition. We explained the situation more than twice, in person and by email, but keep being passed back and forth. Nobody is replying to our messages or emails now. I've been writing since July, and it's already August with no resolution. This is unacceptable, unprofessional and upsetting. We want a refund.

The Salted Caramel Latte at Treasure Trove in Batac, Ilocos Norte was delightful, with well-balanced flavors and a nice salted caramel twist. But the Revel Bar stole the show. I loved it from the first bite and ended up buying two more to take home. Highly recommend Treasure Trove for coffee and Revel Bar lovers!

The rooms were spacious, and maybe the view was good too, but the stay was barely enjoyable. Water to our room cut off very early in the morning when my family and I needed to wash up. I was first impressed by how beautiful the place looked, then disappointed for my mother because she couldn't access it properly. It was very clearly not PWD friendly. The staff were decent.

We booked the economy Room #02 near reception. It was spacious, but as an economy room it naturally had fewer features, including no chairs or tables. What surprised me was that there was no TV. For a resort of this caliber, a TV, or a small rate adjustment to include one, would make the room feel more complete. For a better stay, my tip is to book a deluxe or premium room. The biggest letdown was the noise. Around 9 p.m., as we were getting ready to sleep, reception staff were talking, laughing and shouting loudly. Then around 6 a.m., a tricycle with a very loud muffler was being used inside the resort, while tables and chairs were dragged around. It disrupted the quiet atmosphere we had expected. Training staff to keep the noise down late at night would make a real difference. Breakfast was complimentary and enjoyable, though it wasn't a buffet. The coffee was instant and we had to make it ourselves, which disappointed us as coffee lovers. City Café inside the resort doesn't open until 10:30 a.m., also late for an early coffee. We stayed with family in August 2023. Treasure Trove is undeniably beautiful, with breathtaking views, thoughtfully designed spaces and a relaxing feel. It's one of the most unique resorts I've seen in Ilocos Norte. I have nothing against transient accommodations, but this place is so stunning and distinctive that I came with higher expectations. I hope they improve the service and bring in more hotel-like standards, because the resort deserves it.
