Circle Inn Iloilo City Center Hotel

The pool was a nice extra, and the location was convenient for getting around the city if you don't mind a busy area. We found Circle Inn budget-friendly and well-maintained, with a clean, comfortable room that suited our needs. The friendly, accommodating staff made check-in and the rest of the stay smooth. Good value for money, and we'd consider coming back.

I grabbed a quick bite at the cafe (?) on the ground floor. The siomai was delicious and reasonably priced, service was friendly and helpful, and the coffee was OK. I was happy they could give me fresh milk for it. In the room, the bed was soft and cozy, and there was complimentary bottled water plus a dispenser on the floor. The bathroom had head & body wash and liquid hand wash at the sink, but no complimentary toiletries or slippers. Hot and cold water was available, though it only got lukewarm, which was fine for me. The room was clean and a decent size. I was there for our company Christmas party, and had a positive stay. I'm hoping to book again.

Just a block from Iloilo central market and within walking distance of the Dinagyang venue, the location is handy. The rooms were clean and spacious, and I especially liked the roomy bathroom. There was a water dispenser, I assume on every floor, a kettle in the room, free toiletries, and a hair blower on request from the front desk. The pool was a nice size and had a kids' and toddlers' area, though I wish it had more privacy since it can be seen from the lobby and restaurant. Decorative fixtures might help. The restaurant seemed to have few guests, perhaps because of all the competing local restaurants nearby, and the food service was lacking. Breakfast took almost an hour, and the tapa was thinly sliced and overcooked. Hot Milo costs 70 pesos, and snack and drink choices were limited.

We left after one night and moved to a better hotel. This place is run-down, with filthy rooms that smell like sewage, and the corridor water tastes like mud. The advertised “$10 breakfast” is misleading: that's just the menu, and anything you order costs extra. We asked for a clean comforter and were charged $4. The front desk staff were politely rude, especially Lyka.
