Ferrymar Hotel Iloilo

The kitchen service and hotel room were good, but the service overall was very poor. We stayed for five days and asked twice for the room to be cleaned, but they forgot each time. Our first room was very dusty, with dust on the tables and cabinets. I'm very disappointed with their service.

The staff were accommodating, and the hotel was still fine to stay in despite the upgrade work going on. Parking was a bit difficult, especially getting in and out.

The sewer smell from the bathroom drain on our second day made it hard to sleep. We were out touring all day and got back late, so we didn't complain at the time, which was our fault. The alley leading to the entrance also felt unsafe at night, and the hotel was in the middle of major construction. At checkout, we had to wait until the room inspection was done. I haven't had that happen at other hotels, so I don't know if it's standard. My brother was also charged ₱1,000 for a small stain on a bedsheet, even though it could have been cleaned at a laundromat for much less. It felt like a rip-off and an unreasonable charge. I don't usually leave negative feedback, but this was really disappointing. I loved Iloilo, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The room was really comfortable, but the service fell short. Toiletries weren't replaced unless we asked, and after the front desk said the 7th-floor Wi-Fi problem was due to a weak signal, we clarified it was actually a password issue. They still didn't give us the correct password. Getting there was a hassle because the hotel was hard to find and we had to circle around several times. There was no parking available, despite it being advertised, and construction beside the entrance made access feel unsafe. They also charge extra for linen stains. I wouldn't recommend it for a long tourist stay.
