MO2 Westown Hotel Iloilo

We were there for 27 nights, so I got a good look at the place. The internet was extremely slow, and we had to change the password every two days. Loud music from nearby nightlife also made it hard to sleep. There was a cockroach infestation, with bugs running through the room and even joining you in the shower. Management knows about them but just hands out bug spray like "Baygon." The water smelled foul, like sewage, and the odor got stronger when flushing the toilet. It was our first stay here, a last-minute choice for Dinagyang Festival. Every other hotel and Airbnb was fully booked, while this place still had at least four rooms available. I wouldn't recommend it. The staffing was the worst, and the hotel needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Worst hotel in Iloilo. If you end up with no choice, still don't stay here. Three stars is far too high; it deserves one.

I stayed at Mo2 Westown Hotel from 16 January through 15 February 2026, one month. I've traveled to many countries and stayed in all kinds of hotels, and the kindness of the staff and management really stood out. The hotel was convenient for activities, had delicious restaurant food, a phenomenal pool area, and was clean. I'm posting this to help other visitors have a safe, amazing stay. For the record, I'm a United States Army Veteran (RET) and a United States Pentagon Federal Police Officer (Ret).

The location and service were great, with restaurants, bars, and clubs close by, maybe a little too close. The rooms and facilities, though, were extremely dated and poorly maintained, with cockroaches in the rooms and paint peeling everywhere. There's also a two-night minimum, which is frustrating if you only need a quick stay. Loud music from right next door went late into the night, which wasn't good when I was trying to work or relax. For American food, try Juicy Lucy; Bourbon Street Bar and Grill has good drinks and a range of food, and Gatto Gelato is good for dessert. I'd rate the hotel 1 or 2 out of 5. -Ryan

We stayed overnight while coming in from Iloilo province. Reception was helpful at both check-in and checkout, and the process was smooth. The room looked quite old, with lots of brown, though the bathroom appeared clean and had hot water. The air conditioner was noisy and blew a strong gust even on its lowest setting. The view was just a concrete wall, though that didn't really matter. The kitchen extractor fan next door was very loud. There are plenty of little eateries and bars nearby, and SM City is within a reasonable walk.
