RedDoorz Plus @ Taft North Mandurriao

The friendly staff seem aware of the Wi-Fi problem, so I don’t blame them. There’s a connection in the common area, but it’s shared with music and other people. In my room there was no Wi-Fi signal, though a strong network showed up and they wouldn’t give me its password. Staff said some rooms have working Wi-Fi, just not mine. I needed internet for work and wouldn’t have stayed if I’d known. Since I booked through Agoda, I was stuck. Ask to check the room, bathroom, and Wi-Fi before reserving, or you could end up with a subpar or troublesome stay. That’s what I learned.

This was my second stay, and the hotel was clean with Wi-Fi that worked. The staff are amazing, really helpful and friendly, and the room is good for the price. The location is perfect: two minutes on foot to megaworld and ten minutes to SM the other way. Just know that rooms facing the road can be noisy.

Very clean room. The air conditioning and hot water were both okay, and I could make the room dark.

The room was quite spacious for the budget price, and they supplied a towel, a small toothpaste, a toothbrush, and liquid soap. It took me a couple of minutes to work out how to lock the door from inside. Reception is open 24/7 and there’s a guard on duty. They have a restaurant, though I didn’t try it. The staff were okay, at least not rude. The location is great, within walking distance of Festive Mall and SM City, with eateries and fast food places nearby.
