The reception staff were rude when we arrived, and didn’t apologize for the hotel’s mistake. We had booked online, but were told they didn’t accept Agoda or Expedia bookings because they weren’t paid by those sites, and that we had to cancel because staying wasn’t possible. The hotel had left rooms listed as available on the booking sites, then blamed us for booking one.

The staff were nice, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It felt like they only spruce the place up when a big event brings in lots of people. If you need somewhere nearby, Macagang Hotel is a few meters away and would be a better option. The pool water was green, with moss on some tiles. There were stained bed sheets, mosquitoes everywhere, and a dirty shower. The toilet bidet leaked, the bathroom door was broken, and the split-type air conditioner had broken down and been replaced with a smaller unit. The room itself was okay. There were mattresses dumped all over the place, and the TV had fewer than 10 channels.

Cobwebs on the chandeliers in the family room and dust filling the cabinet corners were things that shouldn’t have been there. The hotel was decent enough for its cheap to mid-range price, though. Just okay overall.

My first hotel stay was for a few days of government field-work training in May 2015. The place was nice and the service was too. The restroom floor flooded, but it didn’t spoil the experience.
