Olana Bed and Breakfast

We had a great experience overall, and the jacuzzi was a nice touch. The beach itself wasn't the best, though.

We loved how quiet and restful this place was, and everyone was friendly, helpful, and so nice. The breakfast menu had both Filipino and Western dishes, all delicious. I was especially impressed by the Australian steak with mashed potatoes. The Victory Liner bus from Manila will stop and let you off at the front gate, too. Thanks for making our vacation such a great one!

The food was a huge part of what made our stay so enjoyable. We ate most of our breakfasts and dinners at the hotel, with some of the best pasta we've had outside Italy: proper carbonara with guanciale, freshly made lasagna, and pizza. The Filipino dishes were just as tasty, including sinigang, local bangus, longanisa, and tocino. Meals were served in a cute little bungalow outside, with a wonderful sea view. The positive reviews had raised our expectations, but we weren't disappointed. This is a well-run, well-kept B&B with very friendly staff and great value for money. Our room was clean, the beds comfortable, the bathroom nice with hot water, the aircon quiet and efficient, and there was a flat screen TV and decent wifi. The grounds were spotless and well maintained, with a beautiful garden full of mango trees and other lovely plants. There's safe parking inside the property, and the location is handy for getting to nearby tourist attractions. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we're in the region again. Fantastic value.

The people here were lovely and helped us book and arrange a boat and other things at 100 islands. It's about a 30 minute drive from 100 island national park, which made it a really good place to stay for our visit. We were welcomed by the Italian owner and the family looking after the property, given freshly made watermelon juice, and shown around, including the bahaykubo with its ocean view. Breakfast was served there, with a choice of Filipino rice and local dishes or Western toast and filled omelettes. It was delicious with a cup of coffee and that view. The B&B is right on the highway and easy to reach, but we didn't notice any noise or discomfort from it. There's onsite parking, and the rooms are a decent size, with air conditioning, flat screen TVs, and a shower heater option, which was great. We'd definitely come back. I'm giving 4 stars because some maintenance, like paintwork, could be done. I'd actually give 4.5 if that were possible.
