Dolores Lake Resort

The boat trip on the lake is well worth doing, and Seven Falls Park is nearby and a must-see. We had a lovely stay here right beside Lake Sebu, with beautiful views and really helpful, friendly staff. Our room had air conditioning and a hot shower, and the on-site restaurant served delicious local food.

The room and food were very affordable, and the staff were courteous and accommodating. The view across the lake is lovely, and the cruise includes traditional T’boli music and dancing. My one complaint is that breakfast isn't available through room service. Apart from that, everything was good.

The restaurant staff were very good, but the rooms need attention. Both rooms we used had broken tiles sticking up with sharp edges. Someone could get badly hurt. In room 303, the TV remote was missing. Reception said they were looking for it, then the next day housekeeping told us it was broken. There was only one bottle of water, one coffee and one sugar for a room meant for two. Room 301 had even more damaged tiles and just one drinking glass. I watched staff prepare it, and they didn't understand that two guests should get two each of the coffee, sugar and creamer. They mistook the brown sugar for another coffee. The manager needs training.

The view over Lake Sebu is breathtaking. The resort itself is decent and comfortable enough, though getting there feels like a roller-coaster ride.
