Ramfels Paradise Resort

The place has distinctive interiors and amenities, and the rates are fair. Staff were kind and accommodating, so it could suit budget travelers looking for a different atmosphere and experience. I had trouble sleeping through the night because loud music outside kept waking me from dawn into the morning. There were also insects in the rooms. I hope they can reduce them, perhaps by providing mosquito nets.

Our family booked the two-villa bamboo suite with a pool at Ramfels Paradise Resort in Lake Sebu for my sister's birthday. At ₱11,000 a night, we expected a relaxing stay, but it was disappointing and felt unsafe. After a four-hour trip, nobody helped with our luggage, and the reception staff seemed untrained and unprofessional. The rooms were filthy and unsuitable for guests. The toilet was revolting, with no flush, unfinished construction, and poor maintenance. The pool also seemed badly designed and dangerous. Metal bars were submerged where people used them as steps, which could injure swimmers and potentially expose them to tetanus or other disease. It alarmed us that a resort offering premium services would allow this. We were charged extra for nearly everything, including corkage to eat in the common area. The stay was not relaxing at all. We'll never return.

I liked the location and the cool breeze. The bamboo steps and platforms made for a fun, different experience, and we got nice family photos looking out over the big lake below. They have live fish if you want them; the shakes were okay, while the food was so-so. The music and atmosphere were nice too.
