The location is convenient, and coming back after 15 years felt nostalgic. My sons were still little the last time we visited. The hotel and diner are still there, serving visitors like my husband and me.

We stayed for two weeks, and the staff were so accommodating whenever we needed anything. The rooms were very clean, and they give discounts for longer stays. I didn't expect much at first because the price was so affordable, but the room was way better than I'd imagined. The pillows were lovely and soft, and the blanket was nice too. After checkout, we realized we'd left an important document behind. We hadn't noticed it had fallen under the bed, but the staff got in touch and returned the papers to us. I'm really thankful, and we'll definitely come back.

The place is three blocks from the capitol, so it's an accessible and affordable option in Laoag. I paid 1200 for a spacious, clean room with aircon, TV, a CR with hot shower, and some extra furniture. The annex rooms can feel almost too spacious and a bit creepy, though. If quiet, dark hallways and oversized rooms don't bother you, I'd recommend it.

A decent place for a short stay if you're waiting for a trip on Florida Bus or GMW Liner. The terminal is about a 4-minute walk away. An economy AC room costs 800 pesos for 24 hours.

During our Holy Week vacation, we visited Vigan and Laoag, and our stay at the old Hotel Texicano made the trip more interesting. There were hospitals, clinics, and other medical offices all around it. The reception felt like an admissions desk, and we saw what looked like a nurses' station and an old tiled laboratory room that wasn't in use. We came to think the hotel must once have been a hospital. We just had fun with the idea that our room was a private ward for two. Heheheheheh.
