When the weather is good, the location works well, close to a beach. The nicer beach does charge an entrance fee. The hostel feels quiet, and staying in the dorm means going down steep stairs to reach the bathroom, which isn't pleasant at night. Despite the name and decor, it's only a dive hostel in appearance. They don't have a dive master on board.

The staff were welcoming and responsible, and the amenities felt fair for the price. Hideaway Dive Hostel is a relaxing spot away from the city. It’s off the road, but the nearby beaches are about a 10-minute walk away. Plantation Bay is also just a stone’s throw away if you want to eat at a five-star hotel.

The bamboo shack was cozy and lovely, and the price was good. Breakfast came with the stay, and I didn’t expect much from it, but it was really nice. I also liked the chicken mango burger. Everyone was kind, especially the manager, who was funny and friendly. The little diver’s museum was interesting, and I learned more about diving there. I didn’t have enough time to dive, but I’d try it through this hostel if I had more time. I really enjoyed my Cebu, Mactan Philippine trip here and would recommend the place.

Thanks, Dave & Crew! The staff were super nice, and I could sleep peacefully in my queen-size bed even while renovations were going on. There were geckos and cockroaches around, so people who can’t handle those might not like it. The hostel is away from the noisy spots, and they have bikes you can borrow.

We took a day trip to Oslob with them, which was great fun and good value. The hostel is in a quiet area away from the busy centre, and the staff were amazing. I had a nice stay.
