Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort

We held our kids’ christening for 27 people at Sheraton Cebu and stayed for two nights. The buffet impressed everyone with its delicious food and huge variety, and the staff took great care of all our guests. It was the right choice for the celebration, which made the milestone unforgettable. The resort itself was gorgeous and relaxing, with top-tier rooms. Every employee we met was professional, warm, welcoming, and helpful. The whole experience exceeded our expectations and felt worth every peso. We’re so happy with how it went and can’t wait to return. I’d recommend it for a special event or a getaway in Cebu.

The setting is nice, and the pools were clean, but everything costs money. There wasn’t much available to borrow for free, and rentals were expensive. Even a swim ring required a cash deposit, which was a problem because I hadn’t brought cash. That felt very strange. We paid a PHP 15,000 deposit, but when we went for spa treatments or dinner, we were still asked to pay by credit card and told the charges couldn’t go to our room. I suspect the deposit was only under my name and our profiles weren’t linked to the same room account, since staff couldn’t see it when they searched under my boyfriend’s name. The whole thing was confusing and frustrating. At 5 Cien, the buffet cost PHP 3,300 per person and wasn’t worth it. The crabs had a grainy texture, though the mussels were good. Dinner at DIP was nice and much better than 5 Cien. The staff were friendly.

We come to this hotel three or four times a year when we visit the Philippines, and it’s always like returning somewhere familiar. The staff are consistently welcoming, the beach is beautiful, and I love doing pool exercise at 10am each morning. One of my favorite things is breakfast, where I get to see staff members we’ve come to know over the years. They make each visit special, and we’re already looking forward to staying at Sheraton again on future trips to the Philippines 🫶💝🌸

A wonderful stay in a stunning hotel, with extremely clean rooms and grounds, great service, and a very safe area. At low tide after 3pm the beach gets rocky, but it isn’t rocky if you swim earlier. There are lots of fish, and you can buy food to attract them. The cien buffet isn’t worth paying for, so I’d choose à la carte instead. I didn’t try dip because apparently it needed a reservation, and nobody told us beforehand. I’ll definitely be back.
