The Ananyana Beach Resort by SMS Hospitality

The quiet setting, away from the busy tourist spots, made it easy to unwind and enjoy nature. We slept really well in the large, comfortable bed, and the food was delicious. Staff were warm and helpful throughout our stay. They even made us a hot, fresh breakfast to take away when we asked for an early one before check-out. I'd happily come back.

The resort itself looks nice, but it seemed short staffed and our room had several problems. The air conditioner leaked, the bidet didn't work, and the shower heater wasn't working properly. The main door often stuck and slammed loudly when we tried to close it, disturbing nearby rooms. The balcony door was also very hard to open and took a lot of force. With Wi-Fi averaging just 1-3 Mbps, I wouldn't recommend staying here if you need to work.

At least it's quiet here, but the beach was extremely dirty. Staff didn't even greet me when I arrived to check in. If they cleaned the beach and pool, looked after the grass, and fixed the kitchen, this place could be golden. Right now, the quiet is about all it has going for it.

We stayed one night in the room we booked as Panoramic single through Agoda. The hotel called it an Ocean deluxe room. It was spacious, had a balcony, and I loved the ocean view. The staff were nice and accommodating, and there's a comfortable area to relax. The restaurant is open until 10pm and the food was not bad. The pool is small but deep. If you're leaving early, settle your bill the night before since there's no receptionist on the night shift. Early check-in and late check-out cost 400 pesos per hour.
