I only stayed there because every other hotel was booked and I had no choice. It was super cheap, but the rooms are really old. For that price, I guess that’s what you get.

The balcony view was much nicer than I expected, and the staff were friendly and really accommodating. We stayed three nights and had a great time, even though the toilet flush button wasn't working.

The place was clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's also close to the shopping mall and about a seven-minute drive from the airport.

Ace next door is still very good. I've stayed there three times over the years, compared with two stays at Mactan, and these days Mactan has gone downhill. Mactan is decent and its location is great, but it was much better when the rooftop restaurant was open. For about 200 pesos more per night, Ace Pension is a lot nicer.

A quiet, nice pension house that works well for travellers on a budget. The WiFi is fast, and the staff are polite and accommodating. It's near the mall, McDonalds and Jollibee, with a pharmacy in the neighboring building that closes at 8:00 pm.
