Waterfront Airport Hotel & Casino

We could walk across the street from the airport, which was very convenient. The staff were nice, the pool was big, and our large room had a balcony right in front of it. We had a very good lunch too. The gym, though, is small and old.

We had a 2:30am flight and got a wake-up call at midnight, with the free transfer ready to take us. Check-in and check-out were easy, and we enjoyed the food, bar, and casino. I liked the atmosphere and location, along with the grand feel of the hotel and foyer. Some reviews mention the decor’s age, but we found it charming. The furniture was in great shape, and both the room and bathroom were spacious. You don’t get that in most modern hotels.

For what I paid, this one-night stay before our long-haul flight was better value than my previous stay at a 5-star hotel. The breakfast was very good, and the room had a nicely sized bathtub. There’s no universal outlet, unlike in other hotels, so bring your own adapter. The hotel shop’s adapter cost a bit more than one at a supermarket. Alex helped us with our luggage, and the check-in staff, Ms. Kim, Chef Ollie, and the UNO team were accommodating with our requests, especially those related to our neurodivergent kid. We hope to stay here again on our next trip to the Philippines.

For a one-night stop, the rooms are adequate and convenient. Everything worked, and the beds were clean and comfortable, though the hotel has seen better days. The place smells musty, too. Getting here is easy if you’re traveling light, but the connection from the airport hotel involves steps. Arrange a pickup if you have luggage. Breakfast wasn’t worth about 800PHP: the coffee was terrible and the buffet mediocre at best.
