The room and bathroom are spacious, with handy amenities including a sink and refrigerator. The place is clean, roomy, and has a beautiful view. Staff are friendly and approachable, and although breakfast isn’t free, they leave complimentary freshly baked bread each morning. We had a few problems: the air conditioning took a long time to cool the room even at 18°C, the faulty door handle locked us inside twice, and the bathroom drain was slow. The resort is a bit far, but I still recommend it. These issues were minor and didn’t ruin our stay. I hope they improve the maintenance because the place has great potential.

They leave free bread outside your table, and the staff were kind and very helpful. They also value your privacy. We had a very, very great stay, even though the location is a bit far from the tourist strip. You’ll need to rent a scooter or hail a tuktuk to get to San Juan or other attractions in Siquijor. We spent four nights here and found it a very good, relaxing place, close to beautiful hidden beaches and waterfalls. The rooms are good, the view is amazing, and the staff are really kind. I recommend staying here. The only downside was that breakfast was really simple.

The hotel is beautiful and peacefully set in the middle of nowhere. We truly enjoyed our stay and liked the quality of the food. But every food or drink order, except breakfast, had a hidden 10% service charge. Room service came with another 10% on top. These charges weren’t clearly disclosed beforehand, and we only found out at checkout, which was very disappointing after an otherwise fantastic stay. We tried to sort it out with the manager, but no reasonable solution was offered then. The refund options they proposed were only available to locals, and an international IBAN transfer would have cost more than the disputed amount. Later, the owner promised to refund the service fees through Western Union. After two weeks with no news, I followed up. Without any valid explanation, the owner then became extremely rude and refused to offer any solution, even though two weeks earlier his employee had clearly agreed to arrange the Western Union refund. It’s unfortunate that the lack of transparency and the way this was handled overshadowed an otherwise wonderful stay.
