Bohol White House Bed & Breakfast

Roger sorted out a scooter rental without any hassle. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner from Juliet both days, she’s a great cook. The house is beautifully built, with strong air conditioning, plus a lovely pool and jacuzzi.

The place is spotless, with fresh-smelling sheets and towels, a roomy bathroom, and a lovely, well-kept garden. The pool and jacuzzi are cleaned daily. Breakfast has three familiar local options, chosen the night before, and Juliet can also make dinner for an extra charge. She’s an incredible hostess, and I don’t want to upset her, but there are things I wish I’d understood before booking. It’s far out and isolated. Without transport, you’re basically stuck at home, though you can arrange a tricycle for excursions. There’s no nearby beach for swimming, and the TV is in a shared living room, so using it would disturb other people. The house has three main rooms, but only two are rented, since the owners live in the third. Privacy was the biggest issue for me. I felt watched and overheard, and even using the toilet made me uncomfortable because a bathroom door connects to the second room. The owner also sets rules, including no eating in the room we rented. You have to tell them your breakfast time the day before. That’s my personal take, and I should have read the property details more carefully. I’ve learned I want more independence and comfort on vacation, so I wouldn’t choose this stay again. I’m sure many other people would have a very good stay.

The best part was how quickly Juliet and Robert made us feel at home. They went out of their way to help and make us comfortable, and we loved chatting with them at breakfast and after dinner. We enjoyed the room, the living and dining spaces, and the outside area too. They also gave us tips and recommendations and handled the arrangements throughout our stay. I believe this is the most wonderful house on the whole island. Thanks again for the unforgettable time and great hospitality. We hope to see you again. We’ve already started missing Juliette and Roger. The food, cleanliness, internet, hospitality and banter were all top notch, making this the highest quality stay we’ve had anywhere in the Philippines. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts ♥️
