JET Hotel

I was too upset to take photos. There was pubic hair on the toilet seat, the coffee mugs were dirty, and there was no telephone in the room. What else is there to say?!

The food and service were good, and I thought the hotel was nice. I did spot a strand of hair and a broken drain hole when I looked closer, but it was still worth it!

TBH, this is one of the better hotels in the Lipa area. The staff acted quickly both before and during our conference, had everything ready, and stayed attentive so the event went smoothly. The food was great too, and the comfortable, well-organized setting helped everything run well. Thank you so much, JET HOTEL! 🩷

The stay was stressful and unpleasant. I booked two nights in a Deluxe Double Room through booking.com for ₱8,460 and got an email confirmation, but payment was handled directly by the hotel. At Jet Hotel reception, I showed the confirmation. They said they hadn’t received the reservation but could “consider it booked,” then quoted ₱14,300 for two nights in a “Deluxe Duo,” saying no cheaper rooms were available for our dates. We reluctantly accepted the higher price and chose the Jet Black Suite at ₱7,800 a night, ₱15,800 for two nights, since the difference was marginal. The receptionist also charged ₱200 for late check-in, then admitted the mistake and suggested voiding the payment, which caused unnecessary complications. We asked for cash or a voucher instead. After some insistence, she wrote a voucher by hand. They seem to handle things by word of mouth, which felt unprofessional and careless. We were given only one key card, and they wanted a ₱500 deposit for a second. Odd policy, but fine. The shared areas looked tidy, but customer service was nonexistent. The receptionist was dismissive and unfriendly, without basic courtesy. Our room was shockingly dirty. There were used toothpicks and tissues, unswept floors, shower fittings caked with limescale, a clogged sink, dirty towels, and no AC remote. The bathroom was poorly designed, with leaks and flooding. The toilet clogged when we flushed tissue paper, since we didn’t know it shouldn’t go in. Maintenance unclogged it while we were out, then carelessly, seemingly by accident, threw an unused tissue roll into the bin. The sink stayed clogged. Later that night, the same receptionist told us they had received the booking.com reservation and demanded that we cancel it to avoid fees. I couldn’t cancel because of the check-in date, so I contacted booking.com directly, and they resolved it promptly. The hotel’s handling was disorganized by comparison. Breakfast had 7-8 options and average food. The staff’s manner matched the rest of the stay: cold and unwelcoming, staring us down. They questioned our room number and whether we were checked in, which was confusing and unprofessional. Two cleaning staff were kind and courteous, but the rest of the team showed no sense of customer service.
