We came away with two mugs as souvenirs, a simple reminder of the trip. The rooms were clean, cozy, and thoughtfully put together, and after the tasty all-you-can-eat lunch buffet at the hotel restaurant, we got a guided tour of them too.

We booked Aqua Frontier Hotel and Restaurant for May 18-19, 2024, because we were taking part in the Swim Junkie Challenge. Knowing the event would draw people and that most nearby hotels were full, we accepted the extremely high rates. We didn't realize that would be the start of one problem after another. After a four-hour drive from Manila, we checked in before 5 pm. The first room had an AC that shut itself off after about a minute. Staff came to try to fix it after several follow-ups, then moved us to the “annex,” or staff house. Our group was split across lower-grade rooms without Wi-Fi, a shower heater, or a telephone. We put up with the changes and tried to move on. Dinner at the hotel restaurant started a little after 7 pm, but the orders arrived nearly two hours later, in separate batches. The soup was getting cold, so I had to ask a staff member for bowls. The food itself was good, probably the one thing worth praising aside from the assistant manager. After paying, we noticed we'd been charged for drinks that never came. We went to the front desk hoping to sort it out. The woman there was the same person who'd been taking restaurant orders. She didn't say who she was or what her role was, and refused to identify herself. While my brother explained the problem, she interrupted him with, “We will give you a full refund but you have to check-out tonight.” It was 10 pm. When he took out his phone to record her, she walked away and hid in her office instead of facing us professionally. I spoke with the assistant manager three separate times to share our frustration and feedback. Thank you for apologizing and talking with us like people. The Lobo Tourism Office also helped us transfer to another hotel. Thanks to the Senior Tourism Officer and her team for making sure we had somewhere to stay. We ended up settling into another hotel after midnight, with barely three hours to sleep before the race. That defeated the point of booking and arriving in Lobo a day early. The distress and inconvenience showed little respect for guests. The manager or owner should know that the staff's service and competence are undermined by the person who ought to set an example. I hope the hotel's hospitality and service standards can live up to what Lobo is proud of.

That beach is so relaxing, and the rooms are cozy with gorgeous ocean views. The food was seriously delicious too, and most of the staff were friendly. There’s also an OJT guy working there, aka my boyfriend, and that was a fun bonus 🤭. The slow internet can be a drawback, but if you can live with it, edi go HAHAHAH.

The Executive Tower room had a nice sea view and was spacious and clean. It came with a TV, A/C, WiFi, karaoke, a hot and cold shower, a fridge, an electric kettle, and a microwave. One catch: it was on the 7th floor, and the elevator wasn't working at the time. 😶 There’s a convenience store and laundry shop, plus parking. The Resto-Bistro has all-you-can-eat buffet service until 11 pm, possibly on weekends, and also offers à la carte dishes. The staff and crew were welcoming, friendly, and courteous.

The prices are very affordable, and the food selection is great and tastes really good. The hotel staff gave us amazing service too. Definitely coming back, worth every penny! ✨️
