The Three P Beach Resort & Dive Center

The diving was incredible, especially for macro, with some very remarkable species. The rooms and dive equipment were top notch, and we had the best food on the island. Renting a motorbike is a great way to explore the rest of the island and go into town. Our first guide, for the first two days, seemed to go out of his way to touch the reef. He grabbed living coral heads with his whole hand, picked up living things and used coral to steady himself. Whenever we looked over, he was touching something. This went far beyond a fingertip or pointer on a rock. We’ve never seen a diver seem to try so hard to touch things. We’re not from here and we don’t train the guides, but we don’t want guides doing this on our behalf. The room booklets say the ecosystems are fragile and ask guests to keep hands and gear off them. Please, please, please hold the guides accountable. He also gave no briefings unless we asked, and then only shared depth and time, and he barely spotted anything. Once we raised our concerns, the staff quickly addressed them and reassigned us to a guide who was much better about this and excellent at spotting. From then on it was a wonderful experience. Thanks, Three P! We hope to come back and do more critter spotting :)

The guides have been excellent at finding even the tiniest creatures, and diving here is great. You get beautiful islands all around, and 80F water in January is hard to beat. The 9 hour ferry ride from batangas seems to keep the crowds away.

Every day brought something new, from Romblon island’s local culture to the clean, peaceful beaches and mesmerizing sunsets. My wife and I had an amazing time at Three P, and the whole 3P family made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, with warm, attentive service throughout. The food was fresh, homemade and always delicious. Our introductory dive was unforgettable too. Our host Kati and Phillip and the guide were incredibly skilled and clearly cared about both the marine life and the divers’ experience. Thanks to the whole team for making our time in Romblon so memorable. I already miss the place and really hope to return soon. Highly recommended!

I booked a week here, but had to cancel five days before the trip after a dog bit me and I needed medical attention and rabies shots. It was an emergency and I was in a very dire situation, so I asked whether they could refund at least part of my 15.000pesos. They had many rooms available, so it didn’t seem they’d missed out on guests because of my booking. They offered a voucher for 4000pesos. When I asked if they could make it a refund, they never replied. I want to warn people about the character of the owners. This is a very remote place, and in an emergency you want to stay with people who will help you out. These are people who gladly profit and take money without providing any services. Just be aware.
