Splash Mountain Resort Hotel

The set breakfast in the morning was good, and there’s a water dispenser in the hallway. The room was pretty standard, with a comfortable bed, toothbrush and towels, but no soap. Of the six pools, one was properly warm for me, while the others ranged from lukewarm to a bit cold. Some had no water and most were only half full, so we had to stay seated to get fully submerged. We also had to move to the adjacent room because the air conditioner in ours wasn’t working.

The food tasted great and seemed fairly priced, and the staff were approachable. Our room was clean, as were the pools, with some of them hot. Lifeguards were actively watching the pools. We didn’t get to try the big slide because it was closed the day we visited.

The entrance fee is cheap, but the service wasn’t good. We rented a room for four, only to find a single bed that seemed meant for a couple. The small pool listed with the room didn’t start filling until almost an hour later, then they suddenly drained it once it was full. I don’t know whether the owner knows what the staff are doing, but they should. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The entrance and table both cost extra, but it was still a nice place to relax after visiting the falls. The food was very good, though a little expensive by local standards. There’s a pleasant warm pool, which I assume is geothermal, but I could be wrong.
