Kiwi Hotel

Hello, Kiwi Hotel Cebu! We’ve got all our belongings back, with nothing missing. Thanks for keeping everything safe, and especially to the staff member on duty when we left our things behind. We really appreciate the honesty, kindness, and great service.

The staff were respectful, but the room was in a terrible state. There were noticeable stains on the bed that looked like mold, red and brown marks on the curtains, and brown stains on the towel. Dust was coming out of the air conditioner. We asked for new sheets and towels, or a different room. While staff changed the sheets, we saw that the mold was underneath them too. After just ten minutes of putting our things away, I developed a skin rash and decided to check out immediately.

The location wasn’t convenient for sightseeing or day trips, unless you specifically want to stay among locals. Inside, the place was dirty, the towels and bedding had lots of red and brown stains, the air conditioner was too loud to run at night, the toilet kept running, and the fridge didn’t work. We’re used to lower hygiene standards in Southeast Asia, but this was worse than we expected.

There were cockroaches, and the room was dusty with old, broken furniture. Worst of all, the pillows smelled of saliva and the comforter looked like it hadn’t been changed in decades. I’m never coming back.
