I spent New Year’s Eve there by myself, and the owners made sure I felt included, welcoming me as if I were part of their family. They were hands-on and warm throughout my stay. The resort is quiet and restful, with the beach sounds adding to the calm. Meals are homemade and served at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I enjoyed the food. The male owner and his daughter are certified divers and can help with anything from a beginner introduction to more advanced diving. I had a lovely time and would come back.

We’ve visited Raya twice now, once with my family and later with my work team. Both times we chose the buffet meals. The staff were so accommodating that they were already helping us as soon as we got out of the car in the parking area. The food was delicious and balanced, and the place has a great view, sunsets, and a beachfront with lively corals. It’s a good choice for those things.

The sinigang soup and grilled chicken BBQ were the best I’ve ever tried. I first came for the sunset, and I’ve kept returning because I got hooked. Sitting with the breeze and waves in the background is so peaceful. The staff are really friendly and attentive, and although the rooms are just decent, the prices are very competitive.

We enjoyed the views, comfortable bed, food, and attentive hosts, and had a nice stay at this popular, well-organized resort. The rooms were good and the buffet was excellent at every meal. The boat outing was a letdown, though. We paid 2-3000php after being told it would take us snorkeling at Sombrero island, but it brought us to a different beach, where conditions were much like what we could have found right in front of the resort. The trip should have been explained more clearly, especially after spending 13k(room/food/boat trip) for one night. The TV and internet did not work at all, the A/C was very noisy, and the lamp shade nearly electrocuted us, so it needs checking. A bathroom squeegee to keep the floor dry and some room hooks would help too. Still, it was a good experience overall.

The second-floor deck was my favorite part, with the sea in view and waves audible all day. The location is unbelievable, with roughly a 270° view of the water. Anthony and family give guests personal care and make them feel welcome, and Jessica was very helpful. The buffet at breakfast, lunch, and dinner was awesome. They also have experienced divers who can give you an unforgettable experience. A lovely place to enjoy the sea of Phillipines.
