The staff at Villa Ferrer made us feel like family and looked after us so thoughtfully. From the food to the service, there were personal touches throughout, and our room was spotless with a lovely beach view. Batanes is already paradise, but staying here made our December trip even more special. I can’t wait to come back! ♥️

The seafront and mountain views at Villa Ferrer were what I loved most. The place felt peaceful and homey, and the staff were pleasant and always ready to help. Batanes was quite an experience, and having such a comfortable, relaxing stay made it even better.

Our room was spotless, well kept, and just as described. What made the stay especially memorable was how kind and attentive the staff were. I’d booked this as a surprise for my wife, and they decorated the room with balloons for our arrival, then arranged a private rooftop dinner on very short notice. It was one of the finest meals I’ve ever had. I feel lucky to have found Villa Ferrer. If I make it back to Batanes, I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

I found Villa Ferrer on Google Maps and booked two nights, spending the first in the Suite Room and the second in the Hahan Double Room. I’m glad I chose it. The place feels like a home, with a warmth I haven’t found at other hotels, and I can’t wait to return. The staff were warm, friendly, and efficient. Communication with the owner, Norelyn, was flawless, and she replied promptly to my questions and requests. She can also help arrange tours and special requests. The food was delicious, including the desserts, and the presentation was top notch. Breakfast is plated and, as I noticed is usual in Batanes, the same for everyone. Mention dietary restrictions, allergies, or other preferences when booking. In Mahatao there’s nowhere to buy food unless you go all the way to Basco, so I wouldn’t bother going out to look for a meal. You can eat inside at the table for eight or request the outdoor dining area beside it. The rooftop is great for stargazing, dinner, or watching the sunrise or sunset. In the lobby and living room there’s Netflix and YouTube too. The Suite was much better than the website pictures: a big, beautifully designed room with local touches and a large balcony overlooking the sea. It blends modern and traditional styles. The queen bed and pillows were very comfortable. The huge bathroom has a bathtub, a separate shower, a standalone bidet like you’d see in Europe, and a shower bidet as well. Heating is centralized, which is rare in Batanes hotels. Hand soap, shampoo, and body gel are provided, and there are plenty of drawers and cabinets for clothes. Choose the Suite if you want a really big room. Keep the bathroom windows shut if you don’t want mosquitoes or other insects coming in. The Hahan Double Room has a queen bed and a balcony that I think was bigger than the Suite’s. It was bright, airy, comfortable, and cool, and the bed and pillows were comfortable too. The room is quite tight, though, and you might find it a squeeze if you have big luggage. Airport transfer costs extra because Villa Ferrer is a bit far from Basco. I booked a tour for my arrival day and asked my guide and driver to drop me off there at the end. Since the hotel is less than a year old, your guide or driver may not know where it is. Check Google Maps: it’s at the end of Paz street on the left. Look for the footpath, which is easy to miss.

I was lucky to have the whole villa to myself for a day, and the amenities were a pleasant surprise for a small town in Batanes. After my tour on the first day, I asked whether the sunset could be seen from the beach outside. It could, and the staff offered to set up my dinner on the rooftop and even checked the exact sunset time. My solo trip was just what I needed: peace and quiet, comfort, and a bit of pampering. Staying here made it feel perfect.
