The house has a lot of history in its preserved architecture and vintage details. At first, I found it a little creepy because it’s so old, but that feeling passed once we settled in and got to appreciate its character. It’s a rare heritage home tucked into Makati. We used it as our base for a weekend of business discussions and team bonding, with colleagues arriving from all over the Philippines to meet our UK client. The quiet, rural-feeling setting gave us room to share ideas and focus on how to grow the business. The layout and atmosphere made for a smooth, productive stay, while still feeling like a restful break. Our client was impressed by the Filipino hospitality and the venue’s history. We had a great time and left with good memories. I’d recommend it to anyone after a distinctive place to stay.

The staff were kind and accommodating, and the service was impeccable. It’s a lovely old BnB-style home in Manila, with the feeling of stepping into another time as soon as you walk in. If you’re into antique, old-fashioned houses, this is a great place to stay. I’d come back.

La Casita Mercedes is well placed in Makati, just a short Grab ride from malls and other local attractions. Our group of 13, my husband’s family, fit comfortably, and every bedroom has its own ensuite. The house itself has lovely heritage details and a warm, cozy feel. The staff were kind, helpful, and flexible with all our requests. Many thanks to Ate Jenna for taking care of us. We also got fond of Akira, the resident street cat, and appreciated that the staff look after him. We’d happily stay again, highly recommended.

The house has so much character and made a lovely backdrop for photos at our friends’ bridal party. We had a great time overall, though there was an issue with the water in the rooms during the night. Ate Jena was especially kind and helpful while we were there. Thanks again!
