Red Planet Makati Amorsolo

I chose this hotel because it's near Makati Medical Center, where I had medical checkups, and I needed a quiet room. Some reviews called it nice and decent, but my experience was very different. Doors slammed loudly, and I woke every time someone closed one. I could hear people walking and talking in the hallway, so getting a good night's sleep was difficult. The room was very small, with no kettle or complimentary drinking water. Breakfast was disappointing too. It wasn't a buffet, and the hotel should say so clearly on its website so guests don't expect one. Between the noise, limited amenities, and breakfast, I wouldn't stay here again.

The rooms are small, but clean, and the check-in staff and security were friendly and courteous. Inside, the hotel is modern, with a water dispenser on the lobby floor, which is the second floor. The surrounding area feels quite local, though it's safe. It's not a luxury five-star hotel, or even a two-star one by any stretch, but for the price, what you get is actually very good value.

We stayed four nights as tourists, and I'd give the price and location 5/5. It was super affordable, in a safe area with lots of food within walking distance. There was a security guard in the lobby every day, and you need a card to use the elevator to reach the rooms. For the price, the rooms were great, so 5/5 for rooms and cleanliness too. We didn't hear loud street noise, the AC worked, the sheets were clean, and the shower had good water pressure. 5/5 overall. We'd absolutely stay again.

Red Planet is a decent hotel for a reasonable price. The rooms are clean and the air conditioning is good, but they all need fresh paint and the showers need regrouting. I had several problems with the room safe. They tried to fix it, but couldn't, so they replaced it. None of the rooms have a fridge.
