Seda Residences Makati

It felt like home here, and the location worked well since my workshop was still in the same place. The staff were thoughtful and accommodating: when I felt dizzy and my BP was slightly elevated, they checked on me. Service was good too, just press the '0' button on the phone. The rooms are equipped, the beds are comfy, and there’s a kitchenette where I could reheat our food. Water is available as well.

The only real downside was the awful traffic, so it’s best to walk or take grab to wherever you need to go. Our 2 bedroom apartment was clean and nice, with a washer and dryer, which was a plus. The rooftop restaurant had good food and a good view, and every staff member we met was friendly and professional.

This is the worst Seda I’ve stayed at by far, mostly because it was so dirty. Staff seemed to clean around things without moving chairs or lifting matts. The room was worn out, smelled like someone had cooked, and needed serious maintenance. The dinner matts were dirty too. I paid for a club room, but was first given a deluxe room on the 24th that didn’t match my booking photos. Seda said Agoda had shown the wrong pictures, called the room in the photos a downgrade, and said I couldn’t get the difference between the rooms. Then I was moved to the room in the photos and told it was the same price, even though it was worse. Later, I was told club rooms are on 32 and were booked out, so I was put in a room on the 27th but told I’d still have club access. The floor had food stuck to it. I asked the front desk to mop and sweep, and to replace the safe batteries. Housekeeping went over the food, so I had to show them with my finger how it flaked off and wasn’t a stain. They didn’t really clean, just went lightly around things. Staff came into the room with a camera to fix the safe and recorded without telling or asking me. When I asked, they said it was proof of what was in the safe or that it was empty. They couldn’t fix it and called someone else because the display wasn’t working. The flashlight didn’t work either. The club lounge is beside the roof top bar, but doesn’t open until 4pm, even though I was told I could go there throughout the day. Around 11:50 Monday night, the room smelled like cigarette smoke coming through the HVAC vent. That makes me think someone was smoking in another room and that they don’t have or don’t clean the air filters. They gave us a scented humidifier to cover the smell. I don’t recommend this hotel. I think we deserve a partial refund for the room switch.

I always enjoy staying here. The pool is great, and the gym now has some extra equipment and works well for a workout. Lloyd provided the best breakfast service on the rooftop at level 35. I really appreciated his hospitality and service.
