Somerset Millennium Makati

The location made it easy to walk around the Legazpi area, and both the hotel and our room had plenty of space. They were clean and had decent amenities. The building feels a little dated, though some of the interiors have been modernized. Breakfast was okay, with lots of Filipino dishes, even though most of the guests seemed to be East Asian. I booked this staycation on a whim with friends.

The blackout curtains and comfortable bed helped me recover from jet lag. Breakfast was fine, with eggs made to order, and the attendants greeted us with smiles every morning of our five-night stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s self-service laundry on the 9th floor. It’s a quiet spot but still close to Ayala Triangle and Greenbelt.

The front desk team were consistently friendly, professional, and helpful. They also supported us attentively when we used a meeting room, though the room itself felt old and its projector could use a brighter, more modern replacement. The loyalty experience was disappointing. I’m an Ascott member, but earned no points for this four-night stay. Marriott and Accor have felt more consistent and rewarding for points and benefits. Somerset Millennium Makati is conveniently near Green Belt, but the property is showing its age. The functional rooms are dated and could use renovation. Breakfast leans toward Filipino dishes, which were fine, though international guests wanting a broader or more Western selection may find it limited. It was a comfortable stay with good service, but the facilities and loyalty programme need upgrades to keep up.

Greenbelt is close by, and the price doesn’t come with the big $$$ tag. The team were really friendly and accommodating. Breakfast has both local and continental options. The place is nice, though older than newer hotels.
