The Alpha Suites

The staff were friendly and ready to make things easy and enjoyable. My room was spacious, clean and designed with relaxation in mind. The Alpha Suites felt like a modern, comfortable haven in the city.

The security guards and bellhops were the best part of our stay. They were attentive and helpful. The rest was frustrating: we asked for housekeeping to dry a wet patch on the floor around 6pm, waited an hour, followed up with the front desk, then waited another hour. In the end we used bathroom tissues because there were no floor towels. We arrived at 1:30pm for a weekend night, but although standard check-in is 2pm, our room wasn't ready until 5pm. They said it was because it was a 3 bedroom suite, which didn't make sense to me, especially since someone who arrived at 2:30pm with a 2 bedroom suite booking was given a 3 bedroom suite right away. We had also requested and paid for 3 extra beds at check-in. They said they couldn't guarantee them, but the long wait seemed like time they could have used to sort it out. Around 10pm, I found my two kids drenched in sweat in the master bedroom because the AC couldn't cool it.

The pool and the comfort rooms were clean and nice. There are hair dryers and plenty of towels, plus a lifeguard, and a bar and restaurant close to the pool. You can't bring outside food, so you need to buy it from the bar. The bar staff were good too. They take credit cards and GCash, but not cash, and you can charge purchases to your room. You can also ask for a trash bag for your room.

The room was noisy because I was put next to both the customer lifts and the service lifts. The bed was hard as a plank, the towels were old and torn, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly. I'm here on a business trip, and this place has been terrible. When I asked to change rooms, the staff never called back. I had to call again, and then they said the whole hotel had no other rooms. They were very unhelpful. All the hotel restaurants are rated 1 star. I wouldn't recommend staying here. There should be plenty of better hotels nearby, and this one feels like a total waste of money.
