The view was spectacular, and the location was nice, which are good reasons to stay here. But the one-bedroom unit I had was worn out, even though it was spacious. The furniture looked like it had seen better days back in the 90s. It’s an older condo converted into a hotel, so keep that in mind. Location matters a lot, and that earns it four stars from me. There’s only one breakfast included per stay. If you check in with your special someone, you’ll have to share it or pay another 150 Pesos. A bit odd.

The TV was the one thing we enjoyed, since it had good channels. Everything else felt really old. The room had a strong smell, the floor was peeling and so dirty it turned our feet black. There were no slippers, the bed felt like it was falling apart, the shower heater didn't work, and the water pressure was low. The Wi-Fi was useless, and the receptionist wasn't friendly or welcoming. For what we paid for one night, it just wasn't worth it. Walking in gave me goosebumps, like there was some negative energy there or something.

The rooms are very inexpensive for their size, and the service is okay. The front desk isn't very attentive, but they'll help if you ask. There's a 7/11 convenience store right next door. Driving around can be confusing because the roads are one-way, and Roosevelt street is closed except from 10pm to 7am.

For 20USD, the one-bedroom suite was a steal. It had plenty of space, a kitchenette, a full-sized fridge, and even a tub. The hotel is close to the CBD and easy to reach by public transport. The train was loud enough to hear from my room on a higher floor, though. There's free breakfast, and you can make your own meals in the kitchenette. Having a separate living area was nice too. I wound up there by accident after my previous hotel booking was cancelled because of overbooking. I hadn't researched this place and found it a bit scary. It's an old building, the facilities look at least a decade old, and the upkeep is poor enough that the place seems haunted and dirty. They don't have Wi-Fi, either. It didn't feel comfortable, though my expectations were shaped by my reason for travel. I've backpacked quite a bit, and this place is similar to, or maybe even better than, other affordable hotels in town. For a practical traveller, it could work.

After three days here, I don't have a reason to come back. The facility was poor: water pressure was very weak, the internet was very slow and sometimes wouldn't connect, and the corridor lighting was much too dim. The staff seemed lazy. When I arrived, the receptionist and guard were sleeping. They ignored me and played games on their phones, and they kept chatting with coworkers.
