Century Park Hotel

The staff were attentive, courteous, and helpful, so I’d stay again. The building is showing its age, but improvements are underway. Two of the four elevators were being replaced during our visit, and usually only one was running, so we had to use the service elevator. Hopefully they’ll all be fixed by the next time we come.

The pool was heated and not crowded, and there was a jacuzzi too, though kids aren’t allowed there. We also had a great time at the outdoor bar, especially with the burgers. The staff throughout the hotel were kind and approachable, and I have no complaints about their service. We stayed December 24-26, 2025, and the hotel seemed unprepared for the holiday crowds. Only two elevators were working, the other two being maintained. Even from our room on the fourth floor, we often waited about 15 minutes to go down. When no lift came or they were full, people had to take the stairs. Our room was clean, but the mattress foam was old and sagged in the middle, which made sleeping uncomfortable and left my back hurting. The TV wasn’t smart, and the Wi-Fi was so slow that we used mobile data the whole time. Breakfast was chaotic. The queue stretched to the second floor, and there were no seats at first, so staff eventually put tables outside the buffet area. But having a table didn’t mean there was food. Trays were mostly empty by the time we got there, refills took ages, and at times there was food but no plates. The bacon still hadn’t been replenished close to 10 a.m. Guests were getting worked up over it. It felt like a feeding program, even though everyone had paid. I stayed in a good mood because it was Christmas, but I hope they improve the refilling setup and the beds.

I wouldn’t want my loved ones staying here, and for the price I’d book elsewhere. This doesn’t feel like a four-star hotel. Only two elevators were running, creating constant queues, and they didn’t feel safe. Check-in was slow, with front desk staff looking exhausted and overworked. Our room, 1722, smelled unpleasant and had peeling paint and hairs on the floor. The TV was old, and the Wi-Fi was practically useless. Breakfast was poor quality, with trays often nearly empty and seats hard to find. When we asked for help, staff assisted a foreign guest before us. We parked in the annex but weren’t given a parking ticket. Later, staff insisted we must have received one when we went to claim our car, which was frustrating. The guards also didn’t offer any help when they saw me waiting with several bags for our car.

The pools and jacuzzi were enjoyable and never crowded. Staff even helped look for something I’d lost by the pool. At Christmas, the decorations were cheerful, but the hotel itself was extremely busy with weddings, tour groups, and conventions. It seemed to prioritize filling rooms over guest comfort. We picked it mainly for being close to Rizal memorial Sports Complex, just a short walk from the back of the hotel. We didn’t feel very safe walking around the rest of the neighborhood. There’s a small convenience store in the hotel complex and a larger 7-11 nearby. The airport is fairly close, though our Friday trip took over an hour at 5 pm and just 25 minutes at 4:30 am. Try for a renovated room. We stayed in two that hadn’t been renovated, and both showed wear. They were dark, with lumpy mattresses, but the linens and towels were clean. There was plenty of room and table space, with seating for two. In November and December 2025, two of four lifts were closed for renovation. Staff operated the other two to manage the crowds, and waits were long at peak times. The lift operators stayed cordial throughout. Fresh bakery bread at breakfast was good. The buffet was open until 10 am, but food started running out by 9:30 and wasn’t replenished. The tea was always empty, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. This was the only part of the hotel where service felt lacking. Food was okay on five of our six days, but there didn’t seem to be a clear food safety protocol or urgency. I found spoiled boiled peanuts and told three staff over half an hour during breakfast. They left them on the buffet. I told a supervisor before I left, and they thanked me but still didn’t remove them right away. That was appalling. One of our friends got food poisoning after eating at another hotel restaurant during the stay.
