The beds were awful, with what felt like bars pressing through the mattress. It’s far from town, and taxis are expensive, so renting a scooter seems to be the only practical way to get around. Drink choices were extremely limited. You also can’t eat, drink, or smoke by the pool, or smoke on the balcony. They charge 12,000 pesos for lost keys, even though a key-cutting shop would charge just 50peso per key. The safe key would take a week to order, and we didn’t have that much time. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, and now I understand why we seemed to be the only guests there.

It was a bit far away, but the location and room were worth it. The place was budget friendly, the staff were good, and the service was awesome. We’ll definitely return next time, and I recommend it for family and friends bonding.

A lovely spot for relaxing away from the crowds, surrounded by nature. Our Deluxe room was spacious and had a mini fridge, a hot and cold water dispenser, free coffee and tea, a study table, and a veranda with chairs and a table for morning coffee. Amenities aren’t provided in the room, but you can get them at reception for a reasonable price. Breakfast was included every morning, with a different menu each day. The staff were kind and helpful.

The garden is nicely set up, with a small pool, and I especially liked having my first morning coffee there. The staff were very kind and easy to communicate with, and one receptionist helped me a lot on my last morning when I was badly mistreated by some scam "taxi services". I also liked that local people work here. The place was clean and tidy. It’s around a 15-20 minute easy walk from the "hart" of Moalboal and the nearest beach, or you can take a motorbike or tuk-tuk. It’s far enough from the noise and madness of central Moalboal but close enough to get places. You will hear roosters and dogs because it’s part of the local community, so bring good earplugs. I’d recommend staying here.
