We’ve stayed at Mila's twice now, and I’d come back again. It’s close to restaurants, cafes and marts, just a few minutes’ walk from Panagsama, and the hosts are kind and accommodating. On our second visit the place was very clean, and we booked ahead for a good room with its own CR and a hot shower. They also serve good food and drinks. The first time, Moalboal was packed and we hadn’t booked, but a tricycle driver suggested Mila's and luckily they had a room. I think it was in their older space. It cost 1300 a night, had a shared bathroom and was a bit dusty, but we were the only guests there and had a table just outside our door where we could lounge.
The bathroom was awful: lots of mold that nobody seemed to have tried to remove, a broken sink covered in mold, barely any water from the shower, and a smell I can’t even describe. The air conditioner was louder than an aircraft and was held on with tape, so who knows how long it would stay put. One screw seemed to be all that kept the door in place. The room looked nothing like the photos, and the walls, doors and bathroom were damaged. The staff were horrible. People working there treated the place like their living room late into the night, despite a no-noise rule after 10 p.m. Good luck sleeping. You could also watch employees getting pedicures at reception, with someone else’s nail clippings on the doorstep. When we left early because we couldn’t take another minute, they didn’t care about the problems we described. No apology, refund offer, or question about what could be improved. They still wouldn’t let us go until they’d checked the room. Our worst stay in the Philippines. I wouldn’t stay here even if they paid me.
The staff were friendly and very accommodating. It’s a good fit for a vacation with family or friends, and I’d recommend this guesthouse. Really good value and affordable if you’re traveling on a budget. Book it!
If you want to stay near the nightlife in Panagsama, Moalboal, we highly recommend this place. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, and restaurants, bars and mini marts are close by. They’re pet friendly too. We brought our two dogs!
Right in the middle of Panagsama’s busy streets, the rooms are affordable and clean, and they feel a bit like home. The hosts are welcoming, and it’s a good place for tourists visiting Panagsama Beach. I’d definitely come back.
