Moalboal Bamboo House / Rooms

It’s a nice place, though not a luxury resort. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed staying here. I wouldn’t recommend booking a guide through them: the sardine run was overpriced, and we had to wait a few hours to start canyoneering because they’d overbooked and it was already quite busy. Even so, we’d come again. Thank you!

A very affordable place with friendly staff, close to Panagsama restaurants and the sardines, and also near White Sand Beach. I’d highly recommend staying here on vacation. Thank you for the service, it felt like a staycation at home 😍

We loved winding down here in the evenings, playing games with the family and having freshly cooked meals at their restaurant. The owners were kind and friendly, always ready to answer questions or suggest local places to visit. The quiet, homely atmosphere was exactly what we wanted during our few days at Moalboal Bamboo house. Our hut felt authentic and the bed was comfortable. The shared bathrooms stayed clean, though the WiFi could be temperamental. We didn’t mind switching off and spending time together with the cute animals around the resort. There were bunnies, guinea pigs, dogs and cats, plus parrots chirping and fish swimming in their pond. I’d recommend it to couples. You’ll need a bike to get around, but the owners rent them at a very reasonable daily price, and everything is a short ride away. Thanks again, Richie, Robert and Samantha, and Chico of course! x

The garden has a lovely, almost little-zoo feel, with friendly animals around. Being so close to nature means you might occasionally spot an insect in the room, which is understandable. We had no worries during our long stay: the staff were friendly and quick to help. You can pay extra to use the kitchen, rent a scooter, or join beach activities. A lovely place to unwind at a very reasonable price.
