Acacia Hotel Manila

The hotel is clean, well looked after, and comfortable, and our stay at Acacia Hotel was pleasant. Still, we had to leave the room from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for the annual electrical and door lock inspection, so we spent that time at the mall. I understand maintenance is needed, but this should have been mentioned before we paid or confirmed the reservation. Some alternative arrangement or consideration, like a discount or added service, would also have made the disruption easier. Advance notice and better accommodation during maintenance would improve the experience.

The beds and pillows were comfortable, the shower was strong, and the tub and water heater made it easy to relax. Toiletries were well supplied, and the staff were polite and welcoming. Check-in was quick, although the masked staff member spoke so softly I had trouble hearing her. Room service was fast and accommodating, but more than one jug of water per room would be good for a 5-star hotel. The room decorations and complimentary birthday cake were a thoughtful touch. I asked for the cake to go to the other room where my mom and sister were, since my mom uses a wheelchair and I planned to celebrate and take photos with them. My sister opened the door while I stood just behind her, and the staff greeted her instead of me. It was a small mix-up, but they could clarify who the celebrant is rather than assume it’s the person answering the door. Breakfast was enjoyable and had a range of options, though it leaned toward local tastes. There were fresh salads, but a cooked vegetable dish in the main section would add variety, especially for guests with dietary restrictions. The taho and desserts were delightful and nostalgic. The luggage staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Some room details need attention: the coffee table was shaky, water tended to flood outside the shower even with the glass doors closed, and the windows had no sheer curtains, leaving the room either very bright or very dark. The TV felt outdated and had no streaming options. It feels more like a 5-star hotel from 10 years ago, or closer to 4-star by 2026 standards. I didn’t get to visit the pool or other facilities, so I can’t comment on them. It was a pleasant stay with thoughtful service, but the rooms and amenities need updating to meet a modern 5-star standard. Without upgrades, I’d rate the hotel closer to 4-star.

It was easy to walk to nearby shops and places to eat, which helped with the heavy traffic in the area. The rooms were clean, tidy, and comfortable to rest in at the end of the day. The buffet was well prepared and had lots of options, without feeling rushed.

We had a great family stay at Acacia Hotel. The breakfast buffet was really good, and we enjoyed the area too. Ms Pat from front guest relations arranged adjoining rooms for us, and we appreciated the remembrance token. The rooms were spacious with a great view, although a bit dark. We had fun together in the room for my dad’s birthday. Check-in and checkout were smooth. Highly recommended and good value for money.
